Krabi

After Bangkok we flew down to Krabi. Just as we came out of the Airport there was a massive tropical storm, with more rain than you can imagine. Some locals told us that there has never been rain in January, until this year but things must be changing!! One day we hired mopeds to explore the area. Luckily the roads weren't too busy. We went to a temple on top of a big hill. You had to climb 1230 steps to get to the top. We met an old monk on the way. We thought he must climb up there everyday but he later informed us that he'd tried many time to reach the top but never actually made it. Unfortunatly it was another failed attempt. We didn't see him at the top. We also discovered a little island called Ko Jum. To get there we had to get a ferry for about an hour then suddenly the ferry stopped and we were directed to these longtail boats that had appeared. We found our boat and even managed to retrieve our luggage and then we sped off to a deserted, golden beach. It was like our little island paradise. We satyed in little bamboo huts and did nothing but walk on the golden beaches and swim and snokell in the clear blue sea. After Ko Jum we had some quick changes. One night in Ao nang (Krabi) one night back in Bangkok and then into Cambodia
